: ( damaged hair?

my hair is soooo damaged!...

well... i straighten it everyday on 400 degrees lol maybeeee thats why hehe

but i use heat protectant so thats good at least lol and my straightener is ceramic so thats no AS bad...

1.so i was wondering how often i should get a hair cute/trim to get rid of all my icky dead and split ends!?

2.what heat protectant stuff do you use when you use heat things to do your hair? if you have a really good one that is

THANKS!! : ): ( damaged hair?
I used to have damaged hair and this is how it got healthy:

1) cut, not trim your dead/ split ends

2) stop using heat, , at least for the summertime, embrace your curls during the summer time humidity, in the fall, straighten your hair on the lowest heat setting possible

3) from the first cut, trim every 4-6 weeks

4) Use:

GARNIER STRENGTH AND REPAIR

This thing does wonders! Use the shampoo, conditioner and the deep conditioner, I saw results in one week.

5) Use the deep conditioner once a week, and the rest every day.

6) GOOD LUCK on bringing the health back to your hair!: ( damaged hair?
You should get a trim every six weeks. You can still straighten your hair but not every day, it's very damaging and will just dry it out. I don't really straighten my hair often but I heard that Loreal StudioLine ';hot Straight'; is good

If it's not necessary for you to straighten your hair at 400 degrees then don't set it so high...
Get a trim every couple of months I guess.

I use this V05 Make It Straight! gel. You put in on damp hair and it keeps your hair straight, but also has heat protectant.

I just suggest cutting back on hair straightening. Curly hair is pretty! And you don't have to completely stop straightening it.
Trim your hair every 6-8 weeks. DON'T straighten it everyday! No protectant will completely protect your hair.. it will still be damaged. Get a good shampoo and conditioner and try not washing your hair every day. The natural oils are really good for your hair!
Go in for a trim every 4-6 weeks.....

By the way, Don't straighten your hair everday, Straighten it one or twice a week..Straighten it at night, and retouch it in the morning, The straightness will be fine for a day or two.
