How do you repair damaged hair from hair dye?

Just wondering if there is anything other than letting it grow out that will help it keep from breaking off. It's just a small section above the bangs area. How do you repair damaged hair from hair dye?
The reason hair gets damaged from dye is overprocessing. That could mean that you left the product on too long, or that you have had too many chemical/heat processes for your hair to handle. This causes the hair to be stripped of protective layers, become extremely dry, and break off. The only thing you can do at this point is to try to protect it from being dry and brittle. Don't do anything else that will cause further damage, like excessive brushing, blowdrying, or any heat or chemical styling. Try to bring back moisture and condition with some olive oil. Cover the affected area with a good quality extra virgin olive oil, cover with a shower cap, and sleep with it overnight. It is one of the best remedies to make hair soft, conditioned, and encourage natural, healthy oil production. How do you repair damaged hair from hair dye?
I use this conditioner from Aussie. It comes in a white bottle. The name if it is 1-2-3 something. I can't remember what that something is. But you put it in your hair and leave it in for 3 min or so. It really works. My hair had bad heat damage, and now my hair is much better. Like I said, its from Aussie, it will run you like $3. Hope this helps!

There are alot of good products on the market today but I'd recommend consulting your hairdresser for a repair product, like Nexus, etc.
