I have curly hair that is extremely damaged, brittle, dry (if it's bad it's a part of my hair) and I am trying to find some products to condition my hair when I get out of the shower. My hair is curly and frizzy and quite thick (italian hair). Any help would be great thanx!What is the best leave-in conditioner for extremely damaged hair?
first of all, dont shampoo your hair everyday.
it takes the natural oils out.
shampoo your hair once or twice a week.
conditon your hair everday though.
leave it on for at least an hour or so.
or you can leave it on overnight and sleep with it (wrapped in a towel)
and wash it in the morning.
makes your hair soo soft and helps with breakage, dry and damaged, frizzy hair.
do not use pantene or herbal (they have chemicals and waxes that isnt good for our hair)
use dove therapy or tressume! for deep conditioning
or the good stuff - joico k pac deep conditoning.
do not brush your hair while wet (causes frizziness and breakage)
let it air dry and comb your hair with your fingers.
let it down and straight.
if you straighten your hair (use a heat protector spray - got 2b)
to protect your hair from damages while adding heat to your hair.
get one of those hair masks from wal mart, zellers, drug store, etc.
find the one for frizzy hair.
they really help!
if you dont like your hair being thick
you could go to a hair salon
and ask to get your hair thinned out
(they use a thinning shears and thin your hair out to get the bulk, thickness out of your hair - it really helps with frizziness)
hope i helped.
just keep conditoning your hair all the time.What is the best leave-in conditioner for extremely damaged hair?
Both Matrix Biologe and Pureology have great leave in conditioners. If your hair is really dry and damaged you need to use a shampoo, conditioner as well as products that will protect your hair further. Use a leave in conditioner or styling product that has a silicone base. The Silicone will not build up in your hair. But will smooth out the hair shaft, sealing in the moisture, protect your hair from heat (from blow dryers, curling or straightening irons) and make your hair shiny. Go to;
www.matrix.com
www.pureology.com
to find a salon in your area that carries those lines. Any good cosmetologist at that salon would be able to feel your hair and make recommendations
Good Luck!
Also get your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks to keep the ends healthy.
I'd say try Nexxus. It smells amazing and leaves your hair really soft and manageable. I just used Garnier's 3 minute mask (haven't used it in forever) and my hair is sooo soft and shiny it's unreal so you might wanna try that too. Also, dove and nexxus have really good shampoo and conditioner
well it's not really a conditioner it's a moisturiser but it's realy good it's pantene daily moisture renewal.you wash your hair as usual instead of conditioner you use this it makes your hair soft and smooth and smells lovely too.
coconut oil... haha:) no but seriously, its a really good moisturizer for hair, but you'd probably want to apply it while you're at home.. and then wash it out in the morning or after a few hours.. and you should do it a couple times a week, it helps a lot with damaged hair
Those are a bunch of chemicals
