How can I repair my severely damaged hair?

My hair is thick and wavy, but I frequently blow-dry it straight. I spent a week in Puerto Rico, and between the humidity and the days spent in the sun and saltwater, my hair is absolutely fried. I am getting it cut at the end of next week, but I would like to find some homemade recipes to deep condition my hair to return it to its normal state.

Any suggestions? How can I repair my severely damaged hair?
It sort of depends on what is wrong whith your hair. If it is damaged from heat or the sun you need to go to the grocery store or something and find a well known brand ( you know sometimes when you see shampoo bottles or conditioner bottles it says like extra moister) well you need to get something like that because your hair is just dryed out and needs som extra moister but just taking extra long showers won't help. It's happened to me before and it's not fun! Hope I helped! How can I repair my severely damaged hair?
any conditioner should help...also..before you go into the sun use a hair product that has protection against the sun. im sorry but off the top of my head i cant think of what it is called but i do know that they make stuff for that.

I love the conditioner you get in the hair color boxes. It's made to help keep your hair soft and prevent it from getting completely damaged from coloring. I would suggest buying a box of the revlon colorsilk hair color (about $3) and using the conditioner packet in it. It's the cheapest and the conditioner works just as well as other brands - it's just a smaller tube.

Also try a V05 hot oil treatment, it's made to fix damaged hair.
try the sunsilk hairapy line, there is like 40 types that specify different things it will repair in your hair, you can get it anywhere you buy regular shampoo at.
Go to a professional just to have them start you off then you need to just repeat the steps tat they do to save you money
Homemade recipe - Mash 1 banana with some olive oil to make a mask and leave it in the hair for 15-20 mins. Then shampoo and condition as usual.

I've heared it works, haven't tried it myself but I'm going to now that the idea's in my head! Good luck!
use mayo use it in the shower like conditioner let it set for 5 min it is hard to get out but it works wonders it will make your hair shinier and healthy looking again.

if you have black hair (and ONLY black, you wont be happy if you use it on grey, blonde, brunette hair!), theres this great thing called henna. its a really nice cool conditioner which you keep in your hair for a couple hours.

you can either look online or go to a salon for the recipe.

i would also put oil in your hair very frequently to bring more moisture into it.
