My hair is really curly and I've been straightening it with a hot iron for a long time, it has that burned and frizzy look to it now, will it still be possible to get the hair chemically straightened? My hair looks really unhealthy. Is it possible to get damaged hair chemically straightened?
Of course it's possible, but it won't do anything for the health of your hair, nor will improve the frizz. It will just make it straight. And pricing depends on where you go.Is it possible to get damaged hair chemically straightened?
I was going to suggest a bio ionic relaxer but if you're concerned about the price, that would be out.....they are extremely expensive. What I've seen of them is amazing and leaves the hair in beautiful condition....
If you could find a Cosmoprof professionals only beauty supply, call and ask if they might need a model to demo the product on. The one I saw was a model for it and they do it for nothing. She also works for them, but if they don't have anyone that needs it, then they might need a model. Worth a try to get a very hi end product used.
Relaxing damaged hair (with a reg. relaxer) will only cause more damage, as it's probably the most damaging chemical used on hair. Also knowing a good stylist that is very experienced is very important. The best thing to do is to cosult with a good hairdresser that is experienced. She'll be able to see your hair, tell you if it's a good idea, how to take care of it, and how much she will charge.
umm if you've highlighted it, don't chemically straighten it. if it's got any color in it, expect some of that color (or all of it) to come out. general rule, just dont chemically straighten hair that's been colored. get a second opinion on that from a stylist, or your stylist. but you can get a keratin treatment. i think it may be called a ';brazilian keratin treatment';. anyone can get those. it wont ';straighten'; your hair, but it will definitely make straightening it easier. from what i've seen/heard, the more damaged your hair is, the better it works. those can be pretty pricey, but well worth it.
yes, it is possible.
but, don't do it.
it will just murder your hair and you will be crying for weeks.
if its unhealthy now, do you really think that burning it with chemical will fix it?
no, it won't.
chemical straightening literally blows your hair cuticle up.
Of course its possible.
But your hair isn't gnna look any healthier.
In fact, it'll just make it worse once your hair is no longer chemically straightened.
This will not treat the frizz or anything.
Prices vary.
Call your salon and ask. :]
Good luck! and I hope I helped!
Yes this is possible. Most hair salons will do this procedure. It is about the equivalent of getting a perm. The price however, is completely different depending on where you have it done. I would say that the cheapest possible would be about $40
