What does damaged hair normally look like?

Also how do you know if you have it and how can you prevent anymore damaged hair? What does damaged hair normally look like?
damaged hair is often very dry and won't need to be washed as often as other hair types. Also, it usually is less shiny due to the dryness as the cuticle/follicle does not lie flat with the scalp. It's often prone to frizz. (I know from personal experience!)

try using a deep conditioning, once-a-week hair treatment. And rinse your hair in cool water at the end of a shower to increase shine by closing the follicle. Try to avoid using too many heat/styling tools and if you do, use a heat protective spray. Try washing it less often, ie. once every two days rather than every day. Always use a conditioner when you wash your hair, and if you can, simply use conditioner for every second wash rather than shampoo as well! xxWhat does damaged hair normally look like?

split ends, frizzy, dry, etc.

try not to blow dry, straighten, or curl everyday.

avoided hairspray.

wash with a shampoo rich in vitamins and minerals good for your hair.
damaged hair is usually when you keep using chemicals on your hair. like you cosntantly die it or curl iron or straighten it. and you can see the ends of you hair really dead, like worst than split ends. and your hair doesnt look natural anymore.
