What products are good for damaged hair?

I spend a lot of time in the pool because i'm a swim instructor, and when i go out i always blow dry my hair to style it. What are some hair products that work really well to keep your hair healthy? What products are good for damaged hair?
Alright so this isn't like a salon product or anything but it works really well and it can be made at home! Try mayonnaise and egg yolks! I know it sounds disgusting but I do it all the time. Put it in your hair and wrap a hot towel around and leave it on for 15 minutes then rinse it out. What products are good for damaged hair?

A very good hair product that I have been using for over 15 years is the ';Australian 3 Minute-Miracle'; for the conditioner, and for shampooing......just a good neutralizing shampoo. I take real caution in the hair products I use, and would not recommend anything to anyone that I would not use. These two hair products are wonderful for your hair (even if you do not have damage).

The neutralizing shampoo will bring your hair back to the normal Ph-Balance that it should be after being in pool water. Please see the information on the hair Ph-Balance on the websites below. http://www.dermadoctor.com/article_Healt… (Use Edit at the top of your broswer, and then click ';Find'; to go directely to the information on Ph-balance in the article).

For an excellent conditioner, the ';Australian 3-Minute Miracle will immediately correct any problems that your hair is experiencing. They use the world ';miracle'; because you will noticeable feel and see the difference after one use of it. The Aussie hair care line is really great products. I'm African American with some what ';kinky'; hair, and their products works wonders for my hair. I lalways get compliments on my hair.

Regarding the ';neutralizing shampoos'; again......as I said I am really cautious about the hair products that I use. So.....in order that I get a very good neutralizing shampoo, I spend extra money just to buy it in ';relaxers kits'; for right now. For example, I buy either ';Dark and Lovely Relaxer'; kit, and/or the ';Optimum'; relaxer kit just to use their ';neutralizing shampoo'; that comes in the kit (and discard the other products in it).

You can also go to Sally's Beauty Store to find out what other neutralizing shampoos that are sold separately (instead of having to buy a relaxer kit like I am doing right now). I just haven't taken the time to go back to Sally's yet to check out the one that are sold separately, yet. The two that I am thinking about are these tww that are on Sally Beauty Store website:

';Isoplus Neutralizing Shampoo'; http://www.sallybeauty.com/Neutralizing+…

Motions Oil Moisturizer Moisture Creme Neutralizing Shampoo http://www.sallybeauty.com/Neutralizing-…

I hope this information may be of some help to you. After reading your question, I am going to make the time to go to Sally's to buy a good neutralizing shampoo that is sold separtely, instead of having to buy it in those relaxer kits. The neutralizing shampoo in the kit comes in a very small bottle. But until then, right now the $3.89 a box is worth it. Take care.

Natural Hair Loss Remedies: “Medicine Men” May Have Had Some Answers”Before the age of modern medicine and chemical laboratories, healers and medicine men had natural products for hair growth and replacement. Some of thee are still used today with varying results.Strictly speaking, all hair loss products could be considered “natural,” as they are produced from elements found on Earth. For purposes of this discussion, however, a “natural” remedy refers to any ingredient as it is found in nature and not altered or treated in any way before its use. Some people claim success with these methods and products, so it is worthwhile to examine a few of the most popular.ESSENTIAL OILS: These are concentrated oils from certain plants, such as lavender, soybean, and bay. They are massaged into the scalp and are purported to assist with circulation and follicle stimulation.EXERCISE: Any form of exercise increases and improves blood circulation to all parts of the body, including the scalp. It is believed that increased blood supply to the cells in hair follicles will maintain their health and stimulate hair production.HERBAL COCKTAILS: (NOT FOR INGESTION): A variety of herbs are recommended, to include Rosemary, Sage, Nettle and Burdock. The advice is to boil them together, strain off the leaves, and wash the hair with the solution every day.JOJOBA OIL: Widely used in Mexico for hundreds of years, it is massaged on the scalp, and many claim it is highly effective in stimulating new hair growth.LOWERING DHT: DHT is formed when an enzyme in a man’s body acts upon testosterone and is believed to be responsible for the “closing-up” of hair follicles. Provillus shows a lot of prospect and may block DHT production and thus shows promise as an aide for male hair loss sufferers. You can find it at www.provillus.com. Homeopathic physicians usually recommend that some of these treatments be used concurrently. Some have had success, but, as in all cases, different bodies respond differently to any treatment. Still, they are worth a try before more expensive methods are considered. For more information visit: http://www.provillus.com/?aid=365514

if your hair isnt very oily then you could use baby shampoo, it's more gentle on damaged and dry hair. most conditioners should work as long as you keep them on your hair for at least a couple minutes before you rinse. try not to brush your hair too often and maybe try a serum before blow drying your hair to prevent it from getting too brittle.

hope this helps
Well you need a good chlorine shampoo. Here is a good one

If you have wavy or curly hair use mousse and a ionic hair dryer with a defuser. Never use a brush . Use your hands if you touch your hair. For mousse I recommend Got 2B kinky.

If you have straight hair use bed head thermal lotion and an ionic dryer.

Edit

I forgot to say soak your hair in olive oil once every couple weeks when needed. Leave in for 30 min to an hour then rinse and clean like normal.
aubrey organics: burt's bee's: carol's daughter: kiss my face: avalon organics: jasons: emo gold: and alba are great: safe brands to use =]

you want to stay away from shampoos with SLS (sles) or ALS in them as they cause hair to thin :: there are lots of other harsh ingredients to watch out for::

it's good to wet your hair with non-chlorinated water before you get in :: also spraying coconut or olive oil on your hair will help protect your hair from the chemicals in the water: you skin too!!

i'm a swim instructor too. i know what your talking about. one thing you can do is condition your hair, but instead of rinsing it out, just leave it in for a while.
