How do you fix fried and damaged hair so it looks healthy?

My hair is so dead and fried from straightning it so much. Also I swim three days a week so it's really clorinated. I want my hair to look normal again, so if you have any ideas, or know how to help, that'd be great! How do you fix fried and damaged hair so it looks healthy?
I had super dry hair last year. I colored my hair A LOT, like every two or three months, and I would straighten or curl my hair every day.

To get my hair to be less dry, I started using Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner (the sleek and shine one). I only shampoo every other day, but I use the conditioner every day. Then after I shower I put in a leave-in Garnier Fructis conditioner while my hair is still wet. This has worked extremely well, and my friend (who used to complain about my hair being so dry all the time) even said that it looked good and felt soft.

As it turns out, my hair being less dry has made it less frizzy, so I no longer need to straighten it anyway.

EDIT: Also, get your hair wet in the shower before you get in the pool. It keeps the chlorine from getting to your hair as badly. How do you fix fried and damaged hair so it looks healthy?
As the poster above me recommended, try limiting how much you straighten your hair. Putting a light conditioner in your hair during swimming will help protect it from chlorine damage. If you have split ends, it's better just to trim them off. It may be hard to do if you have longer hair, but it's better in the long run because split ends only end up worsening and ultimately making it nearly impossible to grow out your hair.

Also, when straightening your hair, use a heat protectant.
First you need a good trim to get rid of the dead stuff. Then you go get you some Aussie 3minute Miracle and use it twice a week at first and then once your hair starts to look better use it once a week. Its is cheap too, and it works very well. I also recommend Pantene Pro V for dry and damaged hair for daily use.
Once you repair your hair you should try to protect it, especially when you go swimming. Try a good swimming cap that protects your hair. Check out www.myswimcap.com. I ordered one. Haven't received it yet. But after searching extensively on the Internet, seems to be the best thing out there.
salons hav treatments that make it shiney and healthy looking again and then just use shampoo and conditioner for dry and damaged hair and it should start looking better AND STOP STRAIGHTENING IT!!! lol let ur hair relax

hope this helps :]
give your hair a break from straightning, before you jump in the pool brush thru your hair it'll help pervet dryness. try to condition as much as possible and get a leave in condition.

Btw I'm this dudes girlfriend.
Get a hair cut to get rid of all the damage.

Then use products to prevent heat damage and to help against chlorine damage.
Well i would say go to a salon and have them cut your dead ends...and continue going to them til it back healthy.
buy the treseme heat protection products and also purchase any natural hair creams and apply them daily
you could try deep conditioning it.
