hot oil traetment or a leave in conditioner. or you know the moisturiser E45 well put some of that on your hair. i have the same problem. i would lay off the heat styling if you do that. and problay get a trim that always makes your hair healthier.
harry munk, the vitamins are great for any ones hair
Well dear friend, two hours before going to bath take a paste of egg and lemon and apply it on your hair,do this once a week.Beside massage your head with olive oil thrice per week,it has worked in my case so will your case...start it now itself if possible........................GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Peppermint Oil or Cream will sooth your itching scalp it will also give your hair a shine use it or apply it like a mask, Olive Oil and Almond Oil will bring moisture back into your hair keeping it from looking dry and Lavender oil can stop the hair from breaking and make it stronger through time
olive oil, or balck seed oil
olive oil or if you can stad teh smell mustard oil (i cant stand it but know a few people who swear by it). try to leave it on overight at least or for a while to really treat your hair and scalp. also wash your hair (as ure scalp is irritated use the mildest shampoo you can find) before you apply the oil to scalp, roots and all along the hairs for best result.

drink more water to help your scalp ad alternate your shampoo product (i.e. dont use the same one for months on end) as it can cause a build up on your scalp and hair surface.
olive oil
A hat
First do a hot oil treatment then wash once and deep condition for 10 min. ADD moister to your hair everyday for a month with a good leave in conditioner. I had the same hair and problem now my hair is great.
V05 hot oils a few times a week
a really expensive deep nourishing conditioner once a week. or olive oil for a cheaper remedy
a good leave in conditioner my hairdresser recommended some for my two girls who had the same thing and it worked within a week.
a good nourishing hair conditioner,

a warm olive oil+ coconut oil+ almond oil in three parts mixed together and a 10 minute massage overnight and then wash it the next morning with a good shampoo.

a good diet which includes lots of water and a source of vitamin E
Natural homemade hair care tip for a Dry Hair:

Feel free to shampoo dry hair as often as necessary. Use a gentle conditioning product. If it is protein-rich, it should be gentle and nourishing for your hair. A variety of these products is available in most stores.Condition your hair after every shampoo. If your hair and skin are extremely dry, buy a humidifier for your bedroom and always use it in cold weather. It will protect your hair and skin from the drying effects of indoor heat. A natural way - twice a week rub olive or castor oil into your scalp at bedtime. Wear a plastic cap to avoid getting oil on your pillowcase while you sleep. Shampoo it out the next morning.

Notes on Spilt ends:

Best ways to make you free from split ends is do not comb in the wet hair .Use a good herbal shampoo and avoid frequent changing of shampoo.Make sure you drink a lot of water as water contains minerals.Apply henna at least once a week.Oil your hair with a combination of almond oil and castor oil mixed and warm together.Do not expose your hair to extreme heat or temperature.Manage to trim off your split ends.Do not back comb.

more details click the link below:
You need to remove the damage. You need to apply a product which gives your hair moisture. Stop using heat type appliances on your hair, that causes dry, brittle hair. You need to apply a hair dressing to your scalp to stop the itching.
try a hot oil treatment.
I find John frieda stuff is very good especially the hair serum
oil treatments are good....
Well, some people I know have told me that Mayo works... But I would never put that in my hair. I always use BioSilk when my hair is BAD. It costs alot but it works like a charm! Try it.
now adays you get dove shampoo of dry and damage hair
try these tips...... they relle work!!

Hair Wash

The best way of washing hair is with Aritha and Shikakai Powder. It does not have any chemicals or any other side effects. Aritha and Shikakai powder is available at any General stores or even a banyan shop.

Shampoos

Dry Hair - Egg, Herbal shampoo or any shampoo for dry hair.

Normal Hair - For normal hair fruit shampoos or henna shampoo is good.

Oily Hair - Lemon Shampoo

Hair Oil

Oil your hair at least once in a week. If you have dry hair then oil it twice a week. Hair oil gives the necessary moisturizers to your hair. Herbal hair oil provides you the necessary nourishment along with the moisturizers.

Hair Conditioners

Henna

Henna conditions and colours your hair.

Dry hair - Add some milk, water and 1-2egg yolks in henna. This mixture will not dry your hair and will make it soft and manageable. Apply it monthly.

Normal to Oily Hair 鈥?Add water, lemon, egg yolks in henna. You can apply Henna fortnightly.

Home made conditioners

Add 录 cup of vinegar in 陆 bucket of water. This will give a good shine to your hair. Mix curds and egg yolks together and apply it for 1hour.

Hair Tonics

Try tonic Hair Oil鈥檚 powder - Put 4 tsp of this powder in water, boil it and after cooling down apply it on hair. This will stop hair loss, rejuvenate and nourish your hair.
This really works and it's cheaper than the salon treatments.

Beat one egg into 1 cup of olive oil (double quantities if your hair is long). When well blended, pour over DRY hair and work in well. Wrap hair and head in Saran wrap to avoid drips and allow to rest for 30-45 min. Wash hair with your regular shampoo in cool water, soaping twice to remove excess oil.

Do this once a week and you will soon notice the difference.
tresemme shampoo and conditioner, i had bad dandruff and really bad conditioned hair till my husband brought me the shampoo and conditioner.

  • What brand of shampoo/conditioner is good for damaged hair?

Im using garnier fructis right now but i noticed that my hair is still very dry no matter how much conditioner i put on it.

i can't afford those salon brands so i can only get those products at local stores and stuff. any recommendations plz? :]What brand of shampoo/conditioner is good for damaged hair?
panteneWhat brand of shampoo/conditioner is good for damaged hair?
    Pantene
i use hebal essences an its the best for dry n damaged hair
    pantene or head %26amp; shoulders
Use extra virgin olive oil. I know it sounds messy, but olive oil can repair damaged hair. Avacado oil is actually better but very difficult to find. Sometimes you can mix olive oil with coconut oil for the best results. It seems you need to keep your hair moisturized. Find shampoo with less alcohol because that is what's used to strip your hair of too much moisture.

so try this...regular trims are a must, about every 7-9 weeks.(if your hair is really healthy then up the trims to about every 12 weeks, a trim is just a snip off the ends) if its been awhile since you have had a trim then inches may be called for to get to healthy hair. i use vitamin e on fresh washed hair.(its a vitamin that can be purchased where you buy vitamins, cut open capsule, squeeze into hand, rub hands together and apply to hair) dont message into scalp. if you get too much then just rewash it. hair will feel slightly sticky until dry then it will be nice and soft. it tames the frizzies, deep conditions and makes hair grow about three in a month. it takes about a month for the growth part of the e to kick in. the other benefits are instant. dont brush your hair but maybe once a week to message the scalp, i use a wide tooth comb at other times. brushing breaks off hair. i just started biotin vitamins going on three months ago this sat and notice and big growth spurt from that. biotin is cheap and also promotes hair regrowth and growth. i also have the biotin shampoo that i got from a vitamin store online.(puritans pride.com or vitadigest.com) five bucks for a big bottle and a big bottle of E is about 8 bucks. the biotin is about 3 bucks. i now take my fingers and message my scalp about five times a week, along with the brushing thats a good way to do it without damaging your hair. apply two or three capsules of e to dry hair and message into scalp and hair really well, put damp towel in microwave for 1 min to get hot, then quickly wrap head, a dry towel can be placed over that to help hold in the heat, leave on for 15 min, shampoo well, makes an excellent hot oil treatment. good luck, AND some people will argue about regular trims, your hair does grow from the roots, yes, but if your hair is not trimmed at the bottom, the it splits, get dry and brittle not to mention thin looking from no trims at all and frizzy. then your hair starts to break off at the bottom and giving you the appearance that it never grows. so to make hair grow as fast as possible and keep it healthy, then trims are an essential part of hair care. look on a ruler and check out less then half an inch and if your salon does not know what that is then take a ruler with you, i have. as of this week im adding beta carotene vitamins to my regimen. i found out that along with the biotin it is very very good in promoting hair growth. they were five bucks for a bottle of 100. got them at walmart. the biotin and e can also be purchased at walmart, and adding all this up is pretty cheap to get great hair. i just wish the shampoo was available in the stores, but not yet.

How can I regain thickness to my dull, damaged hair?

I have completely ruined my hair courtesy of about two or three years of washing it everyday, dying it, blow-drying it, over-brushing it, straightening and styling it in every which way you could imagine. Now it is at its very ends and I am trying to change my habits to regain the gorgeous thick hair I once had.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what helps hair grow in quick and thick? Thank-you!How can I regain thickness to my dull, damaged hair?

What is a good Shampoo/Conditioner for dry/damaged hair??

I straighten my hair at least once a day. (sometimes two if i have to) as you can probably guess my hair is dry and damaged. its also really thin. i want hair thats healthy, moisturized, shiny and thick. I've tried applying the mayonnaise and a bunch of other home remedies but nothing really seems to work. Any tips? What is a good Shampoo/Conditioner for dry/damaged hair??
Dove in the dark blue bottleWhat is a good Shampoo/Conditioner for dry/damaged hair??
Infusium leave in treatment is fantastic for hair
I like Dove products. They are gentle and wash out thoroughly. After I wash and condition with Dove, I use a leave-in conditioner called BioSilk -- I get it at the salon. It's ';kinda'; expensive, but a $21 bottle lasts me a whole year, and I have past shoulder length hair.
shower every other day so you don't have to straigten you hair as often.... straigten it every monday wednesday and friday and sunday and shower those days

get your hair trimmed so the dead ends will be chopped off and you hair will get longer

    use paul mitchell products

    good luck:)
A lot of people don't like Pantene or heard bad stuff about it. I use pantene Pro-Restorative conditioner everyday and I LOVE it. This is going on over a year. My hair looks healthy- shiny, smooth and feels great too.
    kerasilk from goldwell
Anything by Dove is good. They specialize in moisturizing.
Try Mane and Tail, they make a deep moisturizing shampoo. Here are the details:

The Original Mane 'n Tail庐 has long been a solution for troubled hair. Now from the makers of Mane 'n Tail ... Deep Moisturizing Shampoo

鈥?Exclusive micro-enriched formula with deep hydrating botanicals

鈥?Gently cleanses and conditions the hair and scalp with no residue buildup

鈥?Repairs the damaging effects of styling and the environment

鈥?Naturally replenishes and locks in moisture

    鈥?Fortifies the hair with Vitamin E %26amp; Provitamin B5
    Yes! Try L'oreal absolut repair shampoo and treatment, it's great; I have my hair straightened at the hairdresser with a strong cream and this really works; also Red Ken treatment Smooth Down and Vichy conditioner;
I like Aussie Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. I also use a spray in product that I got from Sally's beauty supply. It is for use with a straightening iron. I would try putting a spray in product like that if you straighten your hair.
    Mayonnaise? Yuck!

Avalon Organics shampoo is great for thickening thin hair, moisturizing dry hair damaged hair, and repairing because there is beta gloucan , and babassu oil in it.

After you rinse shampoo and conditioner with warm water, run your hair under cold water, gently blot your wet hair with a towel, don't rub and/or squeeze because you'll break your hair. Don't brush wet hair because you'll break it.

You can find it in grocery stores, such as A%26amp;P and also at Shoppers Drug Mart.

If you do go to Shoppers Drug Mart don't ask any cosmaticians who work at the cosmatics section for tips because most of them will agressively force you to buy the most expensive items just to get all your money for their commission.

If the cosmatics sales _itch is approahes you and asks you for help say no thank you bluntly and avoid her.

If she keeps following you, keep walking away.

If she keeps being following you, then leave the store.
First, go to a salon, get a deep conditioning treatment, it's usually about $10-$15. Then ask the stylist which products he/she recommends, as we can't tell you much without seeing and feeling your hair. And remember, always remember!!!!!! Don't apply ANY heat to your hair unless you have some product in it to protect it! Sebastian Potion #9 is my personal favorite, leaves your hair SO silky and soift. Good luck!
thermasilk leaves your hair smelling great and really silky, I use ';blue water'; you could get it at any Sally's store you put on before you straighten or curl your hair so the heat wount damage it and it keeps your hair looking great and its only like $4 bucks! :)

What is the best way to repair heat-damaged hair (the ends)?

Is there a specific product? I am talking about once the damage is already done. What is the best way to repair heat-damaged hair (the ends)?
Joico K-Pak makes a good deep conditioner. When you first start using it your hair just absorbs it if it's really dry but then you will be able to tell a big diff..What is the best way to repair heat-damaged hair (the ends)?
First off, cut ALL of your dead ends off. If that means more then 2 inches.. you should do it. Because leaving the dead ends on and just cutting your hair will not help you any. Once you cut the dead ends, make sure you use heat protector EVERYTIME you are using a straightener or curler- whatever. It makes alot of difference. Also, try and get a good ceramic straightener. Hope this helps!
you can treat with almond oil to make it look better but you cant repair it.

Have half inch cut of each month.

But the best thing is to have all the damaged hair cut of so that it doesnt keep splitting along the hair shaft
i agree with michelle. cut and deep condition.

if conditioner makes your scalp too oily, you can try to only shampoo the scalp and only condition the ends.
i would trim the dead ends and use a deep conditioner every other day.
cut it it cant be repaired

What kind of products would be good on damaged hair?

    hey guys,

My hair has pretty much been through it all (dye, straightening, chemical straightening, perms etc.)

I'lI admit that i dye my hair A LOT!

It's better than it was a couple of months ago, but i was wondering if there were any really really good product or natural remides that actually work to try and make my hair ';better'; than it is

and yes i have stopped dying it.What kind of products would be good on damaged hair?

What is a good recipe for dry heat damaged hair?

I also dyed it. and i straighten it every 2nd day I know bad right =S

I heard putting honey on your hair settles down hair particles or something. Someone help? What is a good recipe for dry heat damaged hair?
Getting a haircut for starters is definitely the best thing. There's no other cure for split ends; even products that claim to mend them. AVOID THESE!!! They only temporarily glue the ends together, and eventually end up with the split continuing farther up the hair shaft.

Damage and splits are multi-caused. To avoid them again and repair what is already done, consider the following

-get your hair trimmed regularly (about every 6-8 weeks) no matter how desperately you don't want to lose that one inch! In turn, your hair will actually grow faster and be healthier.

-Try to avoid washing your hair too regularly. Shampoos have silicones and other ingredients that strip your hair of moisture and make it more susceptible to breakage and damage. Most conditioners have enough mild ingredients within them to cleanse your hair. Look for conditioners with keratin as well.

-Don't take steaming hot showers. The hot water also will damage your hair. Rinse in cool-cold water to seal the cuticle to make it shinier and softer.

-Don't brush your hair dry!!! Only brush and detangle hair when its wet.

-I know its hard, but really do try to stay away from using heat tools too often at least for a little bit. Put the flat iron and the blow dryer away for a while. You'll notice a big difference.

-If/when you swim in chlorine, rinse your hair in clean water first. This will keep your hair from soaking in too much of the chlorine water.

As far as shampoo and conditioner, you don't need anything all too fancy. Tresemme and garnier fructis are great brands and have a variety of products. They are very reasonable and do an excellent job. You can pick them up at a drug store. Anything for damaged, dry, or weak hair should do the trick.

This is a great home remedy. You will need:

    -One very ripe avocado

    -2 tablespoons of mayo

-A few tablespoons of olive oil

Mash them up in a bowl and apply to freshly shampooed hair. Comb though evenly and gather your hair up in a shower cap. Use a blow dryer on a warm setting with a diffuser and use with shower cap. This will open the hair cuticle and allow it to absorb more moisture. Leave in for 20-30 minutes and rinse out. and voila!!

This is a pretty heavy moisturizing treatment, so use it only about once a week. It worked wonders on my hair.

Other ingredients (you can experiment with what works for you)

    -honey

    -banana

    -avocado

    -beer

    -olive oil

    -eggs

    -mayonaise

    -vinegar

Now...the straightener. I know you hate to hear it...but there is no way to straighten it without damage. period. You can, however, reduce the amount of damage. If you reach for your flat iron often, invest the money to get a professional quality one. I recommend solia, its reasonable for the great product it is. Try to keep it at the lowest heat setting possible to get your hair straight. I cannot emphasize HAIR PROTECTANT enough. Sedu has a good line of heat protectors. Also, follow the tips above to keep your hair generally in good condition.

Best of luck! Happy hair days. What is a good recipe for dry heat damaged hair?
I know exactly what you're going through right now, and this really helped me.

Apply a homemade egg and olive oil conditioner once a week for a month to help repair your hair. Whisk one egg yolk with two tbsp. of olive oil. Put it in your hair, especially on the ends.

Another good thing to do is open up a few vitamin E capsules and put them in your conditioner. Vitamin E is really good for your hair.

Get regular hair trims once a month to get rid of damaged ends, it'll help it grow faster.

Try a diffuser at a low-heat or cool setting when you use your hair dryer. With irons, try to use the lowest heat setting. It also might help to shampoo/wash your hair not as much as you usually do, because this can really dry it out. But if you go swimming, make sure you wash the chlorine out of your hair right away because that can really dry it out.

If you do all of this your hair should be pretty nice in about a month :]
I do the same thing too. What I do is I bought a deep conditioner and after i take a shower i put the deep conditioner in my hair put a shower cap on (if you don't have one a plastic bag works just fine) then wrap a towel on your head.. Let it sit for 20 minutes and rinse it out. it makes your hair softer and look healthier.

    hope this helped :)
well wat u can do is go to a proffesional hairdress and ask for hair repair its like a shampoo. it helps alot because of all the vitams that are in it can turn it like healthy and strong.

Pantene has good hair care and probably has a good deep conditioner
    Its called ';Advanced Colour Care Conditioner for Hair coloured its natural shade or darker';

Colouring hair darker or similar to its natural shade can coat the hair strand with softness and shine. However, these qualities fade over time, leaving hair rough and dull. New Dove Advanced Colour Care for hair coloured its natural shade or darker helps preserve your just-coloured softness and radiance leaving hair beautifully soft, smooth and full of life. Part of Dove鈥檚 expert range of products.
nioxen, and herbal essence work good!
There's this stuff I use, it's called Cholesteral. It's this thick, creamy, yellow stuff in a pot that you put on your hair after you wash it and while it's still wet. You keep it on for like half an hour and then rinse it off. It gives me the softest, thickest, hair. I love it!
i really like k-pac by joico. you can get it at the beauty salon, and sometimes Kroger even sells it.
Pantene PRO-V Brunette expressions, Daily Color Enhancing, Intense Hydrating Conditioner for nutmeg to dark chocolate for dark brunette shades. It works wonders and it's for natural, color-treated or highlighted hair. You can get it from Wal-Mart I'm sure. It's in a brown bottle.
I use coconut oil it conditions and protects you hair from heat damage. It is only about $3.I found it at a gocery store called the nugget.I also use pantene pro v deep condioner.

Paul Mitchell The Masque...dosnt smell good but is amazing!
Aussie 5 Minute Miracle, It is great.
Everyone's hair is different, what might work for one person might not work for someone else, I think its a matter of trial and error. I suggest maybe using a colour lock conditioner as they leave your hair soft and shiney, even if you have not colored your hair. A good way to get a great condition is to wash your hair as normal with shampoo, when you put your conditioner in put your hair up with a clip and cover your head with a shower cap or glad wrap and leave it for 45mins and then wash it out, it will make your hair extra soft.
I use Aussie conditioner..in big blue writing it says Moist. on it...i think......but those helped my hair alot
    Parvenu or Motiance CPR

get it first of all from a salon! there are alot of after christmas sales right now in alot of salons that are selling gift sets and stuff. Look for a strengthening or reconstructor paul mitchell has a good one but biolage works just as well and is probably a little cheaper! i would get a heat protectant serum i think bed head products have a serum for blowdrying chi oil will also help. When you have time let your hair airdry atleast halfway and that way when you finish blowdrying it wont take as long and be exposed to as much heat. if you dont get the serum i would suggest a flat iron spray. id like to say you should get one from a salon but i know of several store brands that do just as well. sallys have some that smell really good and work for just a couple dollars. The flat iron spray is probably the first important product then a really good shampoo! the good thing about salon shampoo is that it will last alot longer than drugstore shampoo's and it doesnt damage your hair in anyway. good luck

ps dont use the clarifying shampoo for strength it will make your hair feel more dry and brittle because its stripping your hair of everything it has left. You shouldnt use a clarifying shampoo more than twice a week and pantene prov causes a wax buildup on your hair. so does garnier becareful the advice you listen to you could cause more damage than good
    Aveda clarifying shampoo!

its great in striping the hair of damage.

they also have othr great products to help damaged hair..

you can use heat serums%26amp;put it on yur hair b4 applying heat

oil is good to keep ends from breaking.

if your a women of color, pantene pro-v is great also!
i've bleached my hair for a couple years. i recently went brunette and i bought Joico K Pak shampoo and conditioner. it's for damaged hair. it has worked WONDERS! my hair has gotten so smooth and shiny it's unbelievable
I use Redken Products, they work really well, Pureology and Bumble and Bumble are great products too. Just stay away from suave (it drys out the hair) and Panteen (It makes your hair feel nice cause it coats it but damages it at the same time)
Aphogee is the best for damaged hair...it's been working great for me, check out the rating

    http://useit-rateit.blogspot.com/
    Matrix and redkin work nicely,

    And dove: http://www.dove.us/?dl=/haircare#/hairca鈥?/a>

ive never really tried dove but ive heard i works for my friends..
Redken!! It is fantastic and will definitely help your hair!!
just use more conditioner okay ?? also in the shower run ur finger throught ur hair be4 u get out k? and please check out my questionn in hair ';';volume for angled bangs';'; also air dry instead

What products shouId I use to fix my damaged hair?

http://www.bumbleandbumble.com/product/spp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT58%26amp;PRODUCT_ID=191What products shouId I use to fix my damaged hair?
First, trim your hair 1/2 to 1 inch so that all the damaged hair will be gone. Next, you have to protect your hair from damage so it doens't get dry and brittle anymore or split ends. Use the Styling Cream from Ojon and the hydrating shampoo and conditioner from Ojon as well. They are very effective and they hydrate your hair very well. The only bad thing about the Ojon line is that is is quite pricey, but they are awesome for your hair. You can find them at your Sephora. Also don't straighten your hair every day and don't blow dry your hair every day, that damages your hair a lott. If you must heat style it, apply a heat defense spray or cream to your hair when it is damp. Use Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream to make your hair shiny, that cream is very light and gives your hair a nice sheen. Got2b Smooth Operator Smoothing Lustre Lotion is good too. It is very light and doesn't make your hair crunchy, like a lot of other hair creams. It also has a U.V. protectant in it. Plus it smells very good, kind of like oranges. When you are outside and it is very sunny, put a U.V. protectant cream in your hair or wear a hat so the sun will not fry your hair. If you are going outside, and it is windy tie your hair up in a ponytail, a loose bun or braids so the wind won't whip your hair around a cause split ends. If you take steps to protect your hair, it will be very healthy and shiny. =) Hope this helps!!

How long will it take to repair bleached/damaged hair?

I made the mistake of bleaching the front part of my hair and I'm currently using Pureol shampoo/conditioner and the deep conditioner and sometimes Tresseme moisturizing shampoo/conditioner. The bleached area is about an inch or two past my chin, I do plan on getting it cut about once a month to get rid of the damaged hair but how long do you think this process will take? Thanks. How long will it take to repair bleached/damaged hair?
Depending on how you treat it, the amount of time will differ. I've had so much experience with this, trust me.

Go to your local beauty store and get all the smallest samples of recovering conditioning products you can find, and use them ALL. not necessarily in a row, but everytime you shower use one. and also, when you are rinsing it out of your hair rinse with COLD WATER, this way the hair cuticle will close, and heat damage from blow drying, etc, cant get to it. Lay off styling it for about a week, especially straightening it. Id say after about a week to a week and a half of this, your hair will be fully back to normal

MOST IMPORTANT- if you absoultely must style your hair get the heat protecting product called pure silk, and it will leave your hair in BETTER condition after styling it than before believe it or not! i use it religiously. How long will it take to repair bleached/damaged hair?
i bleached my hair 8 months ago and the worst thing i did was try to dye over it. it actually turned out orange, so i dyed it back to brown on the same day, and then continued to dye whenever it faded. since this i have lost about half a head of hair (no emphasis whatsoever). so let it grow out.

The only way to repair bleached hair is to cut it off. Of course all of these methods make it appear to look healthier but bleach removes everything from your hair. Pigment and protein. Im finishing cosmetology school. and i fell your pain. Use cholesterol. its the closet to natural that you can.

A Very long time depending on how fast your hair grows it could take forever or maybe not that long. just take good care of your hair. No blow drying, straighting, curling, dying, and etc.
I bleached my hair waaaaaay to much. So I know where your coming from. I'm currently using this product called

    '; Schwarzkopf Bona Cure Repair Rescue Treatment ';

It works wonders for my hair. But instead of leaving it in for 15 minutes, my stylist recommended an hour.

    So its safe.

    And the best.
You should cut off some of the parts where your hair is bleached. My hair got really damaged sometime in middle school and it was only last year that I started to really work on fixing it and now it's fine. I condition my hair a few times a week and sometimes mix lemon with conditioner, apply it to my hair, let it sit for two hours or so, then wash it off with shampoo and it comes out really nice afterwards.
Depending on the quality of your hair, It could take anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months for it to be totally replenished.

What are some good products for African American Damaged hair?

I am looking for some good African American products for damaged hair.My hair is relaxed and colored and is becoming more and more damaged...I know not to color it any more and I want to try to repair it...So does anyone know any good products for chemically treated African American hair? What are some good products for African American Damaged hair?
yes mam i do!you can get olive oil replenishing pak.use it at least once a week.it is i have used this on a lot of my clients hair.it really improves the hair.it's in a yellow pack that says olive oil replenishing pak on the front in big green letters.it's an organic root stimulator.they cost around 2.50.please try it,you'll like it.they also sell shampoos and you should use it as well folowing with this deep penetrating conditioner i spoke of!What are some good products for African American Damaged hair?
um I use pink lotion, other then that I can't think of any more.
You're hair is probably damaged because the hair dye you're using has ammonia and because youre not waiting as much as you should be to dye it again. I suggest using a hair dye with no ammonia, which works the same as the ones who have it. Natural Match and Natural Instincts are good hair dye brands with no ammonia.

What's a good deep conditioning treatment to use on my damaged hair?

In the last six months I have permed my hair, straightened it, then permed it again, and have dyed it numerous times because it gets gray. Now my hair is extremely dry and damaged (can't imagine why! LOL) I have used every kind of conditioner out there it seems, but nothing seems to help, it still feels like straw. What can I use to get it softer again? What's a good deep conditioning treatment to use on my damaged hair?
I have the same problem I hate it but when I style it it's okay but if I just have nothing in it it's frizzy, puffy, dry you name it but I've heard you put mayonnaise and olive oil and it'll help treat dry damaged hair so I've been doing that and it's kinda helping give it some time I think it'll work and it's right at home no need to go out and buy some...hope that helps;)What's a good deep conditioning treatment to use on my damaged hair?
I really like Deeep, by Bumble and Bumble. It's a twenty minute leave in treatment, and it's kind of spendy but definitely worth it.
go to the hair cuttery they have the best deep conditioning hair products that you can use at home
Try Neutrogena's Triple Moisture line. Their deep conditioner is really effective. Just beware--it contains some oils, which might interfere with your hair color.

In addition to a deep conditioner, use a leave-in conditioner every single day. It really helps add to the hair's overall strength.
Are you doing this yourself or having it done at a salon?

I would suggest going to an Aveda salon and buying a deep conditioning treatment or asking what they would suggest.

    something I have heard works:

mayo - straight, put on a shower cap and let it sit.

use a GENTLY shampoo and deep conditioner to wash it out.
I'm a huge fan of Aussie Haircare 3 minute miracle. It's a 3 minute mask you leave on your hair in the shower before rinsing it off. It works every time for me :)

I dye my hair atleast once a month and i've done it for about 6 years now, i try shampoos and conditioners all the time, and it usually works for awile then it makes my hair look fried again. What's a good product? What is the BEST shampoo and conditioner product for fried and damaged hair?
you should try Joico shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair their products work really good for dry hair they make it feel really soft. im not really sure of the exact name but you could go to a salon and they can tell you which joico products you need. What is the BEST shampoo and conditioner product for fried and damaged hair?
I've used Aveda's Damage Remedy Reconstructing Conditioner daily and the deep conditioner once a week and I;ve found that they were both amazing.

Aveda has amazing products for all types of hair (including color treated), and what's great is that they have user reviews located on the website so you get to know how well the products work.

The company is pretty good about being eco-friendly and using natural products as well.

I have used so many other products and Aveda seems to be the all-around best in comparison.
try hair oil; it really works! put it on at nite before bed and wake up and shampoo it off. usually coconut hair oil works the best but try others to suit ur hair
Have you tried Herbal Essences... they have new ones and they're really good. Theres also some good shampoos in Body Shop =] hope i helped
    Pureology Nanoworks shampoo and conditioner

Is it safe to dye my previously damaged hair?

I fried my hair using a chemical straightener almost 3 months ago.

I got most of the damaged hair cut off and I want to dye my hair black again.

Is it safe?Is it safe to dye my previously damaged hair?
Yes it is. As long as the damage didn't occur less than two weeks ago, you should be fine. Make sure to use lots of conditioner! Is it safe to dye my previously damaged hair?
If you cut most of the damaged hair out, it should be safe. Make sure all of the damaged hair is cut off though, or you'll fry it off. After you dye it, make sure to use a deep leave in conditioning treatment.
it will realy dry out you hair. however if you must dye it, go dark and not light. light dyes strip hair even more than dark ones. i would deep condition it for a month or so before you dye so it doesnt completely fry
I wouldnt do it your self have a pro do it theres many things that can be done%26gt;John
if you are dying new hair not the damaged stuff, then it should be okay, but be weary of over doin it, you may regret it. i would suggest giving your hair a good year off, if not more.

Best shampoo and conditioner or product for damaged hair?

I've just lightened my hair which has damaged my hair badly. I'm looking for a good shampoo and conditioner, or product, which can repair and add shine and volume, but something that doesn't cost too much or that will be hard to find... Any suggestions?Best shampoo and conditioner or product for damaged hair?
If your hair is damaged badly, I would suggest spending the money. I am a hair stylist and I truly believe in Pureology Nano Works shampoo and conditioner. It will make the most damaged hair feel brand new again. You can feel a difference after one use but you get the full affect after 2 weeks. It is very expensive though. It retails for 50 dollars a bottle but it is worth every penny! Another more affordable option would be Schwartzkopf rescue and repair shampoo and conditioner. It is more like 15 dollars a bottle. I would definately get something professional. Good luck!Best shampoo and conditioner or product for damaged hair?
I heard that Dove is pretty good. I haven't tried it yet. Just don't use Pantene, Garnier, Salon Selectives, or the new lines of Herbal Essences. Those are not good and make your hair worse. I took Cosmotolgey classes. Tresemme is pretty good I think. It isn't expensive. Usually the shampoos and conditioners that sell for really cheap are actually not the greatest. I also think Aussie is ok sometimes. But Tresemme is what you should try.
try garnier fructis. best shampoo ever

How can I fix my dry and damaged hair?

I straighten my hair pretty much every day. I know that it is horrible for it, but my hair is curly at the nape of the neck and gets wavier as it goes up, and it just does not look good at all. I do not blow dry my hair and I use a heat protector and deep conditioners, but it is getting very damaged. I never have died my hair before either. Does anyone have suggestions on how to repair the damage I have tried all kinds of conditioners? How can I fix my dry and damaged hair?
I'm in the exact same position as you! I think you should invest in a good quality straightener with ceramic plates (if you don't already have one) because if they are good straighteners you won't need to straighten your hair everyday, and when you're not going out anywhere don't bother straightening your hair cause no-one is going to see it!

I'm using herbal essences conditioner for dry/damaged hair and it's really good, next time i go shopping i'm going to get the shampoo as well. When you use conditioner on your hair pay special attention to the bits of your hair which are the most damaged, for me that's at the sides near my ears and my fringe.

Try and get a haircut at least every 8 weeks even if it's just for a trim to get rid of any split ends.

    anyway i hope this helps

    good luck

=]How can I fix my dry and damaged hair?
Philosophy makes products called Shear Splendor, you can get shampoo, conditioner and a deep conditioning mask as well as hair marinade (it's like an oil treatment that you can put on... the longer you keep it on the better... you can sleep in it). These products transformed my hair.

There is also a product called Affirm 5 in 1 that is wonderful too.
NEXXUS SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER!!! I used to have the same problem. I feel like I've tried every product on the market..and only one you can tell the difference, and its a BIG difference. I've never seen such a big improvement. You may even want to pick up herbal essences shampoo to use once a week because nexxus conditions so well that after a while you may need a stronger cleaning shampoo. Good luck!!
make sure you're getting haircuts regularly. this well help keep the damaged ends from looking ragged. but maybe you should also look into a cut or style that works with your curly hair instead of against it. that way you'll definitely cut down on the damage your doing. that's what i did . . .
Cut it. Then start using a daily salon protectant on it. Be sure to check your labels, alcohol will dry out your hair and make it look worse. Get a salon conditioning treatment done regularly or even if you don't dye your hair, use an at home glossing treatment like ShineHappy. It puts a protective layer on your hair. Good luck!!
My hair was the same way until I started using Bumble and Bumble products. Go to BumbleandBumble.com. Curly hair is so hard to keep moisturized. I found that using a Chi blow dryer with a diffuser along with the Bumble and Bumble has made all the difference in the world. I also found a very good sylist that knows how to cut my naturally curly hair to keep it healthy.
You can't really fix the problem without cutting all of the damage off, But cholesterol treatments once a week will help it look healthy and shiny. (Mayonnaise is a great substitute if you have difficulty finding Cholesterol.)
Once the damage is done you cant repair it. I was told by my stylist to make sure you use some type of heat treatment product on your hair before you straiten it. All you can do is help protect the new growth from damage.
Get some olive oil and coco butter melt them together saturate your hair with the mixture put on a shower cap and get in the shower. Use a little of Dr.Miracle's hair moisturizer everyday cosmetology
the best thing i found is KMS treatment packs. i straighten my hair and blow dry it and often go swimming so my hair would be all frizzy normally. but no joke these bad boys are like miracle workers :D but other brands would probably be just as good xx
Erm they do treatments in hairdressers for not that much money erm i dnt really know any other home except mayonnaise treatments i dont know how they work so research that
a hot oil treatment that you can buy from your chemist or pharmacy or just a deep conditioning treatment along with using heat protect spray before conditioning Nicky Clarkes one is very good

Dry, damaged hair what is the best shampoo and conditioner?

I style my hair quite alot and my hair is quite dry and damaged, I am looking for a shampoo and conditioner and maybe a conditioner to leave in for half an hour os so once a week to get my hair looking and feeling healthy and shinny, any recommendations please?Dry, damaged hair what is the best shampoo and conditioner?
Aussie products are great for making your hair feel the way it should.

I used to work in a hairdressers and one treatment we did to help damaged and dry hair was to wash the hair, towel dry and then put henna wax into it. Then cling film goes over the top and a hair drier is applied to warm it up. After about ten minutes or more you wash it out and the hair becomes really soft. I still do this once a month myself to make sure my hair is okay, along with using aussie products.

Great news with henna wax is, it's insanely cheap - it costs about 99p for a large tub most places.Dry, damaged hair what is the best shampoo and conditioner?
Biolage shampoo is wonderful for my hair....and also Bed Head for Brunettes or Blondes is great is you have dry or damaged hair but if u are on a budget.....Aussie is good.
Dove Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner are the best they will leave your hair feeling silky and smooth.
    body shop banana conditioner
Product by Lush at www.lush.co.uk. They are fab, I dye my hair blond so it get dry very quicky and these products are wonderful, all natural and last for a long time.

P.S. everyone comments that my hair smells great
You might want to give MIXED CHICKS products a try.

The women/stylists there created it for thick, biracial hair. But it is great for straight hair that is dry.
Redken All Soft is brilliant. Expecially the All Soft Cream conditioner in the tub. Pricey but worth it.
I think Nexxus hair products would work great to get your hair healthy again.
Ive died my hair 17 times over the last year, and about a month ago it was like hay. I've tried EVERYTHING at the drug store, and the best way to go is Dove Advanced care. It's really cheap and it will make your hair sliky and shiny.
tressemme is always the best to use . remember not to use a 2 in 1 though they sometimes are no good its best using a conditioner and shampoo of the same brand aswell .
AUSSIE miricle moist shampoo and conditioner and 3 minute miricle reconstructor there brilliant.
I use Sunsilk shampoo and conditioner for brunettes....Pantene do a good range of hair products for a variety of hair and they're not expensive...try getting the one for damaged/dry hair...also you could go to your hairdressers and see what they rec commend....I also use L'Oreal Studio Hot Straight Cream:after towel drying my hair as it protects your hair against the heat of hairdryers and straighteners (stops it getting damage and dry)..hope this helped
my hair styilst reccomended to me to leave in your normal conditioner in your hair for 30-45 minutes. ( ihave dry hair too) but i use pantene and i also use herbal esscences hello hydration. good luck!!

    !~*olivia*~!
Try aussie miracle conditioner as these leaves me hair looking fab and it smells beautiful!!!

    Tx
I would definately say Aussie miacle shampoo and conditioner and definately the 3 minute miracle conditioner for that bit extra every now and again!!
well i use all sorts of shampoos but for conditioner i use mess head 'smooth operator'. my hair was really dry before but now it's really sost and shiny...well sort of lol but you'll definately notice a difference ;)

i'm also trying 'kuan'. it's this chinese herbal conditioner that you leave in overnight. you put it in an hour before you go to bed and then wash it out n the morning. i've used it twice, but never actually washed it out. it made my hair nice and smooth so i kept it in hehe

it's not expensive either. i think you can get it from wilkinsons...
Well I had dry, damaged hair and I used Herbal essences purple fruit fusions for dry and damaged hair shampoo and conditioner and it felt great! Though I can give you a tip that you can use with any conditioner. When you go to rinse your hair out do it in slightly cold water as this calms down your hair cuticles and makes it softer and shinier. Also I can suggest loreal elvive for dry and damaged hair as my mother had dry hair and this worked for her. If your also looking for a leave in conditioner that revitalises dry hair use Vitapointe as it stopped my mothers hair being dry and frizzy and made it back to it's usual self.SHE WONT LEAVE THE HOUSE WITHOUT IT!lol! If using a hair dryer only dry your hair until its slightly damp this will stop it from splitting. i hope i have been a help and I hope you have a good hair day! love cupid x
Shampoos tend to be very drying in general. My hair always felt dry, then I cut out shampoo altogether and it has done miracles for me. I just use conditioner, either timotei, superdrug own brand or sometimes LUSH products.

Conditioner will clean your hair as well as shampoo; you just need to leave it in a bit longer for it to work.

You should check out the Long Hair Community, There is loads of great information about hair care there. You鈥檇 be surprised how drying some shampoos and conditioners can be for people!!

The Long Hair Community have some great leave in and deep treatment recipes on the website. Treatments you can make yourself with stuff in the kitchen! Saves you lots of money too!

    Hope this helps a little!
dove products are good, and also pantene, there are they are two i normally use, my hair is dry to from styling and colouring. i find pantene the best x
Try a treatment first. Hot oil sachets are great - or treat yourself to a visit to a salon for an intense conditioning treatment. After that I have to say that AUSSIE is the best I've tried...and I've tried a lot. Also, don't over dry. Try thermasilk products for protection whilst styling. Leave hair at a slightly damp stage when blowdrying and let it air dry naturally. A little pomade goes a long way for a smooth finish.

How can I help damaged hair grow again ?

throughout the years i have realized i really damaged my hair with a straightener. i noticed im starting to get a part that is very thin and broken. is there anything i can use or take to help heal my hair ?How can I help damaged hair grow again ?
use a healing restorative shampoo i swear by the k-pak system by joico. it's a bit pricey but completely worth it. after just a few shampoo my split end and broken fragile hair is so much smoother. also a heat protectant really any will work but since you use a straightener try super skinny by paul mitchell it's a serum to help keep your hair straight but it has a heat protectant in it and makes your hair super soft. How can I help damaged hair grow again ?
Girlll ! Your not the only one . But mine is getting kinda back healthy . First of all , Use heat protectant spray I use ';Beyond The Zone Turn Up The Heat Protectant Spray '; its really good . I got it from Sally's . Also . Wrap your hair up . Dont just go to sleep without a scarf or a cap to protect your hair . I use a satin cap . I got it from Sally's Also . %26amp;%26amp; I use ';B%26amp;B Olive Oil Hair Strengthener'; Its very good , it also has Shea butter in it . Also get your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks . Get your hair done every 2 weeks . TRUST ME ; YOUR HAIR WILL GROW LIKE CRAZY!! FROM EXPERIENCE ; BUT I STOPED. Avoid hairstyles that allows heat . Like twist-sets . Like You get your hair twisted all the way to the back ; something like corn rolls . Then You untwist it and its like curly and wavy . Drink water . Talk to your hair stylists.
dont apply any heat to it
    # Trim your hair regularly鈥攈alf an inch a month at the most and every three or four months at the least. Clipping the ends keeps the strands healthy and strong. At the same time, it removes split ends.

    # eat healthy

    # Limit the amount of chemicals you put in your hair. Over use of perms and color can damage the hair shaft.

    # Massage your scalp regularly to stimulate blood circulation in the scalp to promote growth.

    # try this amazing remedy , it will make wonders on your hair

mix castor oil + olive oil

and apply it for four hours once a week
First off, try getting a hair cut. If you don't want your hair to short, cut off as much of the split ends as possible.

Second, i recomend buying theese products.

    Aussie, 3 Minute Miracle

    Herbal Essences Replenishing Conditioner

Kerastace Oleo Relax Serum (Great for straightning, %26amp; anti frizz)

Most of theese are inexpensive and work great.

%26amp; Lastly, If your gonna stop or try to stop straighting your hair, you can prevent your hair from drying puffy and frizzy.

    This is what i do:

Towel dry my hair for no more than 5 minutes, comb it through, then make a tight low bun in my hair. I let it dry that way so when you take the hair scrunchie off, your top portion of your hair will be straight, and the bottom tends to dry straight, or a little wavy. I recomend putting on a headband to prevent from getting the frizzies! :)

Also, so that your hair doesnt get damaged with the hair scrunchie, apply leave-in conditioner, or a hair serum if you have.

    Hope this helps :)
To treat damaged hair apply a little lemon juice with some black tea and massage then wash after an hour, or else rinse your hair in a mug of water with 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar this helps control hair fall. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairfall.blogspot.com/ for more info.

  • I have really really damaged hair, because i dive every day in the chlorine and straighten my hair. How to mak?

it smooth, and not damaged? also which straightener, i have medium length, medium thickness hair. FHI, CHI or GHD?

also, the sun is bleaching my hair, and it's turning lighter. I want my orignial color without dying it. Is there a way that i can protect it from getting any lighter in the sun?I have really really damaged hair, because i dive every day in the chlorine and straighten my hair. How to mak?
Those two combinations are literally the worst things you can do to your hair...

You need to STOP straightening..your hair will literally turn into fried hay..it will be so nasty.

You go in the pool everyday so the straightness goes away anyways...just learn ways to use your hair without heat. Like scrunching it (with gel)

I have a CHI straightener, and its really good. But stilll, its going to damage your hair alot.I have really really damaged hair, because i dive every day in the chlorine and straighten my hair. How to mak?
my hair is a lot like mine (except the pool thing)

first i used to straighten my hair everyday but i found out it really hurt my hair so first i went and got my ends cut because the were nasty.

next i would straighten my hair every 3 days and the days in between i put it in a pony tail like

    monday- straighten is

    tuesday,Wednesday - no

    thursday - yes

    and sometimes saturdays i do

    next

for the hair losing color i lay out in the sun a lot so my hair got way light is use to be black and i never want to dye my hair i use this %26gt;http://www.google.com/products?hl=en%26amp;q=brilliant+brunette+color+glaze

i use the dark brown cause that's my color.

lastly, yes you swim so no reason to straighten it

and when you do straighten your hair don't keep going over the same place

and the straightener you have is fine probably i used to use chi, and fhi now i have an Artizen Dolphin Flat Iron
john frida has collection that helps your hair color stay vibrant without highlights. also, there are special shampoos and other products for swimmers to help protect your hair from chlorine. and when you straighten your hair make sure you use a heat protection product, they aren't that expensive and they help a lot.

assuming you have bangs and layers... if not, get some.

straightening is only necessary if your hair is far from straight. If you want it straighter, use straightener on a low heat setting one or get heat protecting gel. ceramic straighteners are supposed to be bettr for your hair.

you can use youtube/google video for tutorials on scene hair. there are all types of scene hair videos so im sure you can find what you want and it will show all the steps.

Whats are some ways to revive dry damaged hair?

i have curly/wavy hair and its become course and dry but the roots are kind of oily. what should i do?Whats are some ways to revive dry damaged hair?
U should reduce the amount of times u wash your hair to say twice a week. When u do, after u shampoo apply ';Garnier Fructis Strength %26amp;Repair Fortifying Cream Condition'; it's very nourishing and will soften your hair. When u dry your hair be sure to pat not rub focusing on your root not your ends. While your hair is still wet apply a styling cream or ';Dove Frizz Control Therapy to avoid the frizzies and it will make your hair more soft and sliky without a greasy build up. It's also a good ideas to deep condition once a week with a hair mask, u could whip up one at home for instance: Mash a over ripe avocado and mix in one egg yolk and 2 Tablespoons of olive oil. Massage into your damp hair, wrap under a towel and leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse your hair and shampoo and condition with the ';Garnier Fructis';. Or u could just buy a hair mask such as ';Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Time Renewal Hair Mask. If will give your thirsty hair the drink it craves.Whats are some ways to revive dry damaged hair?
Is your hair damaged from chemicals or just very dry? If your roots are oily maybe you can lightly brush your hair to distribute the oil to the ends. If its chemical damage, you may have to get someone to look at your hair and recommend some treatments or just find something to treat dry and damaged hair.
i use coconut oil. i rub it in my hands and start applying it at the ends then work up. avoid the root area so it doesn't make your roots oilier than they already are. also you can try sprinkling some baby powder at your roots and just comb it through, it will absorb some of the oil.
Sometimes I will wash my hair and then condition it and leave the conditioner in all day.I If your hair is long enough just wrap it into a wet bun all day.The next time you wash your hair it should be alot softer.
Get Hair Mask for ';Dry and Damaged'; or ';Oily'; Hair.

They're in the shampoo section of the supermarket or pharmacy and they're only $3/2 euro!

When you cut off damaged hair, will it grow back damaged?

I have damaged hair, and I'm thinking about cutting my hair-do short so I can get off those unflattering damaged ends. But -- will they grow back damaged? Because I don't want to spend my money on a haircut if it's no use. Thanks! When you cut off damaged hair, will it grow back damaged?
thats why u cut it off so the damage wont keep going up the hair trim it off and make sure to use heat protector to keep it healthyWhen you cut off damaged hair, will it grow back damaged?
They won't come back damaged unless you keep doing the thing that damaged them in the first place. So if you used an iron or a blowdryer too much or bleached your hair too often and it damaged your hair, it will do it again if you repeat that process. If you stop the process that damaged your hair, your hair won't grow back damaged.
no the whole point of getting it cut off is for it to grow back lookin better than ever . dats why some people just het there dead ends cut off
hair grows healthily. whatever damage there is you did to it. as long as you take action to keep your hair healthy, cutting off the damaged hair will help.
Your hair will grow back healthy but then it is up to you to look after your hair so as not to let it go back to how it was.

By not looking after your hair it will get damaged with split ends etc. If you trim your hair on a regular basis and use a good conditioner and never elastic bands to put your hair up you really shouldn't have a problem and every so often you can put a treatment through it.

You don't have to buy the most expensive range there is but I normally get something in the middle range or even a bit less, with no problems..

Good luck with your new hair style.

I had a similar problem and it got to the point where I had to get about four inches cut off so be careful! If you take olive oil and wet your hair in the shower, coat it in the oil, then leave it in for thirty minutes then rinse out. shampoo and condition. It will help make your hair healthier. I hope it's not to late!!!
By chance do u dye your hair? I suggest get a good semi short hair cut to remove the damage and ask the hair dresser for known product's for this, and if u do dye ur hair stop this may be your problem.

  • How do I moisturize dry, color treated, damaged hair?

I just took my hair out of braids and its extremely dry. Before getting braids I had dyed my hair which eventually caused breakage and dryness. What remedies or products could I use to fix this problem, ultimately making my hair soft, smooth and shiny? How do I moisturize dry, color treated, damaged hair?
not to sound like a commercial, but dr.miracles is the friggin best. I have long long hair, but it's not all like 'mixed girl hair' where you can do anything to it and it's fine. hahaha. so i started using dr. miracles 2 months ago and my hair is sooooo much better for it. I use the relaxed hair creme, the temple and nape balm. it's soooo great. as for shampoo, i actually use the growth shampoo (makes it strong) but I use Garnier fructise for conditioner. (strange right?) using his shampoo and the conditioner and then his products will sooooo help your hair. :-)How do I moisturize dry, color treated, damaged hair?
Get yourself some Burts Bees Apricot Oil. I believe Walgreens carries Burts Bees products but you can find them in several different stores. Heat up enough oil to coat your hair. Don't get it HOT just really warm. Rub all through your hair and then wrap your head in plastic wrap to keep the oil in. Let it sit for 20 min's and keep your head warm (wrap it in a towel or sit under a dryer...you can even put a heating pad on LOW on your head). Then wash your hair in a shampoo/conditioner that is SULFATE FREE (you never ant to use a shampoo with with Sulfates in it when you treat your hair). Sexy Hair, Chocolate Soy Shampoo is wonderful!!! You can even get it at Walmart salons now. Its a bit $ but you only need to use a small amount. I have long hair and my bottle has lasted me 8 weeks already.

You can also go to any Sally beauty supply shop (found in most strip malls) and get tubes of conditioner like the ones found in the boxes of hair dye. They are intensive conditioners that are GREAT for restoring dry, damaged hair.
LEAVE IN CONDITIONER IS YOUR FRIEND! lol i use it and john frieda products they are expensive but you can go to your local drug store or department store (walmart, k-mart, target ,etc. and find conditioners and shampoos and other hair care products to take care of that

Organic shampoos are very good for your hair, you and the environment. A great resource for organic beauty products is the Organic Beauty Expert Blog.

    natural doesnt always mean better.

sounds like what you need is a hot oil treatment. you can buy those at wal mart. after you use that, try some different shampoos and conditioners. there are many types for dry hair. its really what works best for you, and you'll need to try a few to find the one that is best for your hair. when you condition, leave it in your hair for a few mintues, dont immediately wash it out.

What is a good way to make damaged hair look healthier?

Try INERAL HAIR FIXER by L'OREAL. You can get it at specialty beauty stores like Sally's beauty supply for about 3.99. Follow the directions carefully and it will make your hair look really nice.

PS. FYI: It feels weird while it's drying. What is a good way to make damaged hair look healthier?
Use Neautrigena moisturising shampoo, VO5 conditioner, and VO5 hot oil treatment, too make your hair healthier.
You really should condition at least the ends of your hair. And, although for some reason, a lot of people freak out at this word -- silicone -- really will put shine back in your hair. Be careful, though, because you don't want to look greasy! But a spray-on silicone absolutely will not damage your hair.
its called henna and placenta. it comes in a little packet that is brown. it helps your hair stay strong and healthy. u simply apply it after you wash your hair with shampoo and conditionar. put a shower cap under it and run it under hot water to actavate it. wash it out but leave a little in to make your hair softer. apply a good moisturizer and comb your hair. that is what i do and my hair is beautiful. do this and your hair will be wonderful
youve been to a salon and they made it like that get a better hair stylist but theres a few good hot oil treatments out there and amoisterizer conditioner ask the people at the beuty supply company the stylist will sell you the same thing for more money good luck married to a licenced beaution
UGH! you just told a hairstylist you don't CONDITION. we should all tie you up with wet noodle and beat you with toilet paper! no wonder your hair's fried.

honey, you need to at least use some kind of straightening serum or flattening balm or SOMETHING in it to protect it from all the heat.

think about it this way. when you get a sunburn you have to wait for it to peel before your skin gets back to normal. same thing with your hair. when you fry it you need to cut the fried stuff off to have healthy hair again. make sense?

if you can't afford it - give me a p.o. box # - i'll send you some! lord have mercy, child. what am i going to do with you?
Try a hot oil treatment which you can buy at the store %26amp; they arent very much at all. Use a good shampoo %26amp; always condition. Try not to blow dry it a lot b/c blow drying causes hair breakage %26amp; also tends to dry out hair.
use infusium its a big white bottle its leave in conditoner when you use it its just like water its refreshing to you and your hair its loaded with vitamins
Try using ';Thermasilk Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner'; It makes your hair soft, shiny and bouncy. You could also use an oil sheen to add luster and shine to your hair.
Leave-in conditioners (Loreal Nutri Shine) or Alberto VO5 hot oil tubes! It's the best, and reasonably priced!
Toss your straightening iron or at least start using a heat protector before you use it. Curls and waves are so sexy.
oh man, that REALLY sucks. i noticed my hair was getting a little friend on the ends, so i stoped straightening it...if i were you i'd just make it curly for about 2 weeks, then a lot of the ends will be healthy-er and then you can get it cut off.

to curl it all i do is get my hair all wet, then dry it with a towel a little then scrunch it with moose! and then let it air dry.
honestly this is gross but it WORKS . wash your hair with mayonaise and leave it in for about 3 minutes .
umm i would recommend using shampoos specified for damaged/dry hair and use garnier fructis creams or pink oil mosturizer
deep condition 2x a month...avoid heat whenever possible....use oil based moisturizers

Whats the best shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair?

I need the absolute best, money is not an issue. I need something for damage, length, and volume. I have very long curly locks but I dye my hair often so it has some split ends and I'm on a very strict diet so I feel like I'm loosing thickness.. I need to know what to get. No pantene, herbal essences, etc. And preferably not something I have to buy online, just at headstart or sally's or something. Thanks you guys!Whats the best shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair?
I have curly broken hair and tresseme works wonders for me

and their leave in conditioning spray and masqueWhats the best shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair?
Get a protein/deep conditioning treatment done. Putting protein back in your hair helps stop the damage by putting back the nutrients back in you strip out by coloring. Talk with your stylist because it isn't something you can use on a everyday basis, it will backfire if used too often. I also will use Kenra Platinum Shampoo and Conditioner. The Shampoo is sulfate free which means that it doesn't contain the soaps that build up and strip your color. The conditioner is light and doesn't weigh down my curly thin hair and works great for when I blow-dry it straight. They both have a nice clean smell to them. For a bit of volume at my roots I use Aquage Volumizing Uplifting foam. Its hard to maintain long curly hair because it splits so easy. Trust me I am in the same boat trying to grow out my hair for over 4 years. Just maintaining a good conditioning cycle to your hair and using nice products that aren't stripping your hair should help. Good Luck!
I would go with Paul Mitchell =]

    Good luck!
For me, John Fredia works the best. I dye my hair, straighten it everyday and it works wonders! Hope this helps!

What is the best way to treat damaged hair?

I dyed my hair black and hate it (cuz it looks really gothic) and I want to strip it and dye it back to brown (orginal color) I know that this will cause some damage to my hair and I want to know what's the best way to prevent it and/or fix (cause the least amount of damage)

Is there a special conditioner I can use (that;s not outrageously expensive??)What is the best way to treat damaged hair?
it will be a two step (possibly more) process to remove the black. you hair may not lighten enough the first try to dye it the brown you want. in this case wait as long as you can bare ( a week?) before bleaching again. once you have your desired shade, try some heated (not super hot) olive oil. saturate the hair and wrap it if possible in a shower cap or some other plastic to help capture the heat that escapes through your head. you may need to do this a couple of times to make your hair more manageable. remember, once you bleach your hair it will take a long time for it to recover from the harsh chemicals. What is the best way to treat damaged hair?
    Olive oil
any good deep conditioner should help with that . do it once a week.

What are the best haircare products for a girl's damaged hair?

I have never dyed my hair. I've only used heat products like a straightening iron and curler on it. It seems to be falling out more than usual too and i don't have any stress :( anyone have any recommendations? What are the best haircare products for a girl's damaged hair?
I usually use Dove, Aussie, or Aveeno shampoo and conditioners.Your hair is probably dry and brittle due to the fact that your hair doesn't have protein and moisture in it anymore. Just find a shampoo labeled for dry/damaged hair and have protein in it. They work pretty well. However to get rid of the damaged hair. You need to cut the your hair off every month but it doesn't have to be a lot. Maybe a quarter of an inch, pretty much a trim. Also, try using a deep conditioner once a week; Aussie has one out. Also, you need to use hair protectant hair EVERY time you are using a curler or straightener. Plus you shouldn't use heat products every day. Washing your hair a lot can strip away your hair's natural oils. But if you have to because you need to wash your hair due naturally oily hair. I recommend a dry shampoo. However, Sephora seems to be the only place to sell them other than salons. They aren't very cheap but last awhile depending on how much you use and stuff. Honestly, there isn't a quick fix for your hair. Your best bet is to get a trim every month to get rid of the dead parts and have healthy hair grow.

There's a thing called Keratine hair treatment which you can only do at salons. It's pretty much for people with damaged hair. It gives your hair a healthy look, shine, and it straightens your hair for up to 3-4 months. Like any other treatment it doesn't come cheap, they can cost about $200-$500. I got mine for $250. I really like it. My hair looks great and healthy. Also I don't need to straighten my hair all the time. What are the best haircare products for a girl's damaged hair?
Use heat protection. I have damaged hair too! So i recommend not straightening your hair everyday just do whatever you can without heat, I use CHI Infra Shampoo and Suave Mountain High (Strawberry) in my hair, so my hair feels smooth and healthy, there may be some other better answers than mine so, yeah. I hope this helped鈾?

    -Tina.
    Hot oil treatments (: [ i recommend this ! ]

Can you help me get a good hairstyle for very damaged hair?

I have very thick curly hair. I have have gotten two relaxers and my hair is very damaged. I blow dry and starighten my hair every day, is there any tips to keep it more healthy? I have alot of baby hairs in the front of my hair line that only grow to be about 1-2cm. Is ther a good hair style that can hide them? Can you help me get a good hairstyle for very damaged hair?
I also have very thick, curly hair and am constantly told NEVER to use relaxers or straighten my hair too much (which i don't do anyways). Yeah, I would def. listen to the other ppl commenting about giving your hair a break. Try doing thick, long, dramatic bangs to cover up the baby hairs. Maybe a bob-but not too short. Use hair products for damaged hair, maybe even go to a hair salon for professional help if it's really damaged. It may be beyond this, but if possible, try just leaving it naturally curly. Can you help me get a good hairstyle for very damaged hair?
well... the first thing i would do is let your hair take a break! during the summer... don't blow dry it and straighten it every day! i would use heat protect-ant from now on when you straighten it!
stop using heated hair stylers! your hair is obviously heat damaged
just put your hair up but dont tie it too hard then your hair will fall out

What kind of shampoo should I use for my extremely damaged hair?

I have badly damaged hair from straightening; split ends, weak hair, frizzyness etc. I'm surprised I have any hair left, after brushing, showering, straightening, and such I always have globs of hair come out and I'm only 18 so baldness is nothing I want to see in the near future.

So anyway any shampoo and conditioner suggestions I need help bad! What kind of shampoo should I use for my extremely damaged hair?
Ok so first off you shouldn't be brushing your hair you should use a wide tooth comb. For shampoo and conditioners i would suggest Redken's Extreme line, Joico moisturizing shampoo and conditioner plus the K-pak (it's a masque you leave on for 10 mins after you condition), or Aquage sea extends. You should definitely be putting some sort of thermal styler on before you flat iron it too. All the lines i gave you for shampoos will have some sort of thermal styler. Also, you should get a trim split ends only go away if you cut them off.

And you should be loosing about 100 hairs per day so hair that comes out it's ok. It's supposed to. :)

Hope that helps ya a little bit....What kind of shampoo should I use for my extremely damaged hair?
you should try using Unicure Blue or Natural Shampoo only couple times a week along with Unicure Hair and Skin Conditioner 3-4+ times daily as both a leave in and wash out conditioner its grease less, perfume, fragrance, and color free. How can I make really long damaged hair healthy again, and also make dandruff go away?

refrain from using any heat sources till ur hair is once again repaired

go to ur hair dresser and have him cut off all the damaged hair

and then ask him for tipsHow can I make really long damaged hair healthy again, and also make dandruff go away?
You really need to get your hair trimmed about every six weeks. You don't even have to get a full inch trimmed off. Just keep the ends trimmed and healthy. It also helps stimulate growth. What I do for my hair is use Pantene the damaged hair formula and Head and Shoulders at the same time. In the shower I use the Pantene shampoo, then a 2 in 1 Head an Shoulders shampoo/conditioner, then Pantene conditioner and leave it in for about a minute before washing it out. My hair stays healthy for a really long time and it smells amazing. How can I make really long damaged hair healthy again, and also make dandruff go away?
Ok this is what I do, it helps a lot. Wash your hair only 2-4 times a week. Use a cheap brand of dandruff shampoo and buy Flex shampoo and conditioner to shampoo twice. All you do is shampoo once with each of them and then conditioner once with the Flex. You can condition with anything else you want just make sure it doesn't damage your hair. Also buy Pantenee formulas. It helps a lot with your hair.
DO NOT use head and shoulders!!!!!!

It has a wax base which makes your hair fluffy and uncontrollable plus it's terrible for your hair.

Right before you wash it brush the heck out of it scatching your scalp with the brush (not enough to hurt yourself though)

that should get rid of the dandruff pretty fast.

and use a super conditioner to help get rid of the damage. (the kinds that come in hair dye boxes are the best) and leave it on for 5-10 minutes.
drink more water if you really want dandruff to go away!

your scalp is dry so also try a hot oil treatment for scalp!

best way to fix long hair as much as it sucks is to cut off till the damage is removed.

my hair is super long and i cut about 6-8 inches off every year!

The only way to repair damaged hair is to get it trimmed/cut. As far as dandruff goes, if Head and Shoulders doesn't work then try the brown shampoo, it's medicated. And take care of your scalp!!
for dandruff use Nizoral, a medicated shampoo. you use it only 2x a week but the effects are immediate.
    use head and shoulders.
