Is your hair damaged from chemicals or just very dry? If your roots are oily maybe you can lightly brush your hair to distribute the oil to the ends. If its chemical damage, you may have to get someone to look at your hair and recommend some treatments or just find something to treat dry and damaged hair.
i use coconut oil. i rub it in my hands and start applying it at the ends then work up. avoid the root area so it doesn't make your roots oilier than they already are. also you can try sprinkling some baby powder at your roots and just comb it through, it will absorb some of the oil.
Sometimes I will wash my hair and then condition it and leave the conditioner in all day.I If your hair is long enough just wrap it into a wet bun all day.The next time you wash your hair it should be alot softer.
