How do you fix dry damaged hair?

Any remedies, to have strong, soft hair? How do you fix dry damaged hair?
Great that you've decided to get your hair into awesome shape! I knowwww what it's like to have damaged, gross hair. I was so, so upset, but it was time to...considering my hair was falling out all the time and it was brittle and gross. Anyway, I'll give you some tips I do to get my hair healthier:

1) So I've gone about 6-7 weeks without any straightening, and my hair feels great! Sure, it doesn't look always the nicest, but it feels so much better. I'm going for at least 2 months then slowly bringing back straightening. I know, I KNOW you're basically looking for someone to tell you that you can still have healthy hair by striaghtening it, but if you want the best results, so stop for awhile, or only do it rarely. You will be sooo much happier with it! And guys love to brush their hands through silky, soft hair :D

2) When you straighten your hair, or curl it, bring it to the lowest heat possible.

3) If you're going to straighten your hair, forget blow drying. While your hair is damp, sprit a heat protector throughout it. It helps it not get so harshly damaged by the straightener

4) Use a protein based shampoo and conditioner ONCE-TWICE a week (no more than that). When I first started trying to get my hair healthier, I bought all these protein enriched shampoos and conditioners thinking- HEY , this will make my hair super nice and shiny and HEALTHY! So i used it every day...But noooo. too much protein makes your hair BRITTLE and makes it break even more. So only once-twice a week.

5) The reality is, even though spending more money on a shampoo%26amp;conditioner sucks, it really does benefit your hair in the long run. Cheaper shampoos and conditioners sold at drug stores usually have waxes and plastic, so even if it makes your hair feel really soft, it's only filling in the split ends with plastic...which really isn't helping your hair in the long run. I suggest anything by Phyto(environment friendly!) or Paul Mitchell.

5) Cut down on all heat products. it will make your hair so much bettter!

6) Use a non-protein-based hair mask whenever. You leave it in your hair for 10-60 minutes and wash it out. it leaves your hair nice and shiny.

7) Make sure you're trimming your hair every 6 weeks!! You will definitely see the best results from that.

8) if you want to achieve the straight hair look w/o a straightener, grab a roll-brush (Get them at drugstores) and a blowdryer, and blow dry it by rolling it. It will become straight and heathier looking. Or if you want, straighten your hair 2 times a week. pick two days where you want it to look the nicest. Or maybe do quick braids the night before and just have lose curls.

9) If you can, color your hair from the box-- 2 bonuses: you know the chemicals you are putting into your hair, and you can ask the drugstore clerk what stuff won't damage your hair as much. another bonus: It's A LOT cheaper!!

Hope i could have helped you (:How do you fix dry damaged hair?
Home Remedy for damaged hair growth care

Mix 1/2 cup honey and 3 tablespoons olive oil. Work a small amount at a time through hair until coated. Cover hair with a shower cap; leave on 30 minutes. Shampoo well and rinse.

1/2 cup of ripe avocado, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1/2 banana (I prefer it not to be too ripe), 1 egg yolk. Massage it in to your hair and especially your scalp. Cover it with a shower cap. You can also use a gallon size baggie in a pinch. Wait 45 minutes to an hour then rinse it off thoroughly and shampoo as usual. This beauty recipe is a keeper, I love the way it makes my hair look and feel.

Beat 1 egg white until foamy. Add to 6 tablespoons plain natural yogurt. Apply to hair in small sections at a time. Leave in for 15 minutes. Rinse.

2 cups distilled water, 1/3 cup chopped fresh rosemary leaves - In small saucepan combine ingredients and bring to boil. Continue to boil 5 minutes. Let cool, then pour into spray bottle. Keep refrigerated and mist on hair to add shine, tone scalp, or invigorate skin.

In a blender or food processor, combine 2 1/2 tablespoons dried milk, 1 tablespoon wheat germ oil, and 1 egg. Apply evenly to hair and let set for at least an hour. Shampoo and style as usual.

Mix two whole eggs with four tablespoons of olive oil. Smooth through hair. Wrap head with plastic wrap, and leave in hair for 10 minutes. Rinse well.

Boil 7 heaping tablespoons dried thyme in 2 cups water for 10 minutes. Strain and cool. Pour 1/2 mixture over clean, damp hair. Massage into scalp, do not rinse. Use the rest of the solution another day.

If you swim in a chlorinated pool for exercise on a regular basis, the same damage you've noticed happening to your skin and bathing suit, is happening to your hair, as well. Try this treatment at home to keep chlorine damage to a minimum.

鈥?1 egg

鈥?1 eggshell's worth of olive oil

鈥?1 quarter of a peeled cucumber

Blend the egg, olive oil and peeled cucumber. Spread evenly through your hair, leave on for 10 minutes, then thoroughly rinse. For the best results year-round, continue this treatment monthly.
hot oil treatments do wonders, and also a really good deep conditioning works (sally beauty supply)

try not washing your hair every day, its hard, but does make a difference (your hair has natural oils and everytime you wash it, you are washing away those oils)

do you blow dry, curl, flat iron? if so I hope you are using proctection and give your hair a break sometimes, let your hair air dry when you can.
A moisture based shampoo and conditioner should help. Also, a leave in moisturizer will work wonders.

If someone suggests mayonnaise as a conditioner replacement, do not go with it. Mayonnaise will only coat your hair in oil, contradicting the work the shampoo did, and weigh your hair down when it's dried. Try to avoid oil based products, as they may work but will end up leaving your hair looking greasy and limp.
Hot oil treatments. They are cheap like $1.00 maybe a little more. You put the tube in hot water and let it set for a few then open it and shampoo it into your hair. You might have to space it out and use a few depending on how bad your hair is. also good is infusion23 I think that is the name. The leave in conditioner is the best. Both of these you can get at walmart.
i love the redken 'all soft' line. i highlight and heat style my hair and this stuff works wonders. i keeps my hair from being frizzy and makes it super soft. but it doesnt weigh it down. use the heavy cream treatment once a week for intense conditioning and the redken deep fuel treatment once a week for strength.make sure you are trimming you hair every 6-7 weeks and take a good hair vitamin too. they sell them at most drugstores.
Beat an egg in a cup of milk. When it foams, rub it into the scalp.Leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse the hair thoroughly with water.Carry out this routine twice a week for excellent results for dry damaged hair. Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.
conditioners are great for that but still in the process you have to stop doing what cause it to be damaged put no heat to it for a while and wash and condition it good luck on your road to healthy hair!!!!
Get your ends clipped at least every 8 weeks, use hot oil treatments, and conditioner.
Hot oil-treatments.

Leave-In Conditioner.
